Dave and Mike don't see it the same way on a lot of fronts. We talk about it all, including World Futbol and recap the last three games and where the club is headed. Lots of challenges ahead and we are still looking for a solution to score goals up front without Josef Martinez. Who is Alan Franco, we don't know just yet. Is Heinze the sauce, we don't know yet. Will George Bello go across the pond, we don't know yet. Is Moreno getting is feet, we think so.. Thanks for listening....Subscribe, and tell a friend. Add a review and nasty comment. Happy 4th everyone!
We are back and talk about it all. From the drama in Miami and sanctions against the club with impacts to Atlanta United's Sporting Director getting banned from MLS through 2022.
Atlanta gets a strong draw on the road against Seattle Sounders. Josef nets a great PK in the 86th minute and we go home with smiles. Dave attempts to name a cross country rival, and we will reward you on twitter for ideas.
A home game against Nashville starts off hot, and we go up by 2 goals but give up 2 at the end of the match. We talk about it all. Subscribe, tell a friend, ring the bell, you know the drill.
#23 - Atlanta United FC win a great home game in the last minute of stoppage time against Montreal. We recap the Miami tie and talk about all the players. Josef Martinez is still far from 100 percent but the team's back line is excellent. Dave breaks a lot down on this podcast and helps us understand much of the details we don't see. Sit back, buckle up and enjoy!
We talk about it all. Starting with the Super League and back to Atlanta United's performances over the last few weeks. Atlanta United soccer is back in full swing under the Hienze era and the structure looks good but the bumpy ride could be the realization of how things progress over the first half of the year. Let's hope we stabilize and get moving with more Wins! Dave and Mike talk about it all..
Mike starts off with his negative viewpoints on Atlanta United vs Alajuelense CCL matches. Dave talks Mike off the ledge, offering his very optimistic thoughts on the team's solid organization, approach and provides his postive outlook for the team. We Talk about it all!
A fresh start for Atlanta United, after a long 2020 and terrible season under FdB and Glass. Dave and Mike talk about what the future might hold in this episode. Hoping everyone has a Happy New Year and ATLUTD is headed in a new direction that reflects the first 2 years of the club.
Glass is nearly empty, and his coaching record show it, he is what he is, very below average and over his head in the head coach job.. Oh....And, did Frank de Boer actually quit for the Holland National team gig, because the timing now makes you wonder in hindsight? Moreno and Barco on the field together was less impressive than we would have liked against DC United. We are currently below the playoff line, and our plan seems to have no plan. Where is a new coach to lead us forward, and why does the front office think this soccer fanbase is so gullible? We talk about it all...
#18 - Atlanta United is Unwatchable - Pity Martinez is Gone and Barco is next! Who’s Driving the Bus?
Atlanta United is currently "Unwatchable"! Pity Martinez is Gone and Barco is next! Who's Driving the Bus? The quality of soccer the last six games has truly been unwatchable on many levels. Luckly, we still love Atlanta United FC, and nobody is getting off the bus, even if Glass takes a quick joy ride. It's hard to compute in the year of Covid-19 what the hell is going on, and selling our big players for record breaking MLS transfer fees is exciting, yet sad, but it's no substitute for good old fashion winning. Barco stands alone as our energizer bunny, but we've got to get a coach who's packaged and aligned with our next DP signing.
#17 Jeff Newbury, Lagos Kunga’s youth coach, joins the fire! Orlando’s first win over Atlanta United
Jeff Newbury joins the fire! The coach who supported Lagos signing to Atlanta United. Plus, he's an awesome Roswell Hornet on this podcast... Jeff is an amazing youth soccer coach in the DDY system and he's a huge supporter Lagos Kunga, one of the first batch Atlanta United home grown players who is currently on loan.
In this podcast, you'll learn about youth soccer in Georgia and beyond, and how the future of US soccer is bright, but the reality of where we can compete at the highest level is still a few generations away. Coming at you with the deep insights, Jeff understands the Atlanta United academy system, ins and outs, and offers his thoughts on Tata, Eales, Carlos, FdB and more.... Sit back, buckle up and enjoy! This one is packed full of knowledge, thanks to Jeff Newbury!
#16 S2 Ep5 - Atlanta United Win 2-0 over Nashville and Pity has 2 great goals, but overall performance leaves a lot to desire
The team was not sharp. They did not really play attacking soccer and looked like a FdB team. They did not go forward with purpose to break down Nashville. Pity did have two great goals, but time will tell if that trend will hold steady. Overall performance is a "C" grade from your hosts at ATLONFIRE. Listen and subscribe, We are now on YouTube.
